Gårdendal is a Swedish accessories brand for women and men who want modern, functional and ethical design pieces. Raised by a tailor, Andreas Gårdendal founded his eponymous label in 2015 and have now grown to a small team of artisans. With a master's degree in Architecture all of the pieces are influenced by the structure and shape of buildings. Offering reinvented classics, we create products that are made to last for generations. Traditional methods and modern design merge to form timeless, functional and minimal collections.
Fashion is part of everyone's lives, therefore we believe in a fair fashion production, starting locally. Production today is plagued by bad working conditions in Europe, where most luxury brands states one thing on the label but manufactures the good in part or as a whole in a "cheaper" country. All of the production is outsourced and brands take little to no responsibility to working conditions or work culture, despite stating so.
In order to make a change we acquired our very own leather good atelier, run since 1991.

The fashion industry has long been. We wanted to change that and bought our very own production house, atelier sigma line, manufacturer of leather goods since 1991. With our acquired small team of artisans and a lot of help from larger production houses we sought to build our team with a great company culture, wokring conditions and social alievation, simply put poverty.
Powerty alievation might not be heard of in Europe, but it is a fact and exploited by the large fashion houses we so much love.

Since launching in 2016 we have handcrafted our products in our very own production house and leather goods atelier in the heart of Transylvania. Atelier Sigma Line was founded in 1991 and accuired by us in 2015 to develop and expand its production and work ethics as part of the global fashion revolution. Our most valued master artisan has been working with leather goods for 40 years, adding to a great team of talents.
As part of the ethical fashion forum we would like to promote the #whomademyclothes fashion production revolution,whereby we are proud to present our first collection of fine leather goods. With premium execution and worlds most organic leather we dare to call ourselves one of the most ethical leather goods manufacturers of the globe. Gårdendal is about funcitonal considered design, to withstand gererations to come, modern today, classic for generations.

Only 5% of the leather in the world comes from vegetable tanned hides, meaning no harm to the planet. Of these 5%, our tannery Tärnsjö and the cows they source have the highest standard in Europe, meaning we can account ourselves as the finest source of leather there is to find. The 1%.
